Idaho State University
The campus of Idaho State University sits in the heart of Pocatello amid the mature foliage of the Portneuf River Valley. Serving a student body of more than 18,000, ISU is Pocatello's largest employer and home to the city's grandest venues including Holt Arena and the L.E. & Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center. The Idaho Museum of Natural History is another campus attraction, which houses hundreds of thousands of artifacts and regularly updated exhibits.
First established as the Academy of Idaho in 1901, ISU received university status in 1963 and now offers credentials ranging from completion certificates to doctorates. The university's flagship programs include business, pharmacy, and the health professions.
